The Generalitat Valenciana has awarded the American multinational MBS Group the management of the Audiovisual Industrial Complex of Ciudad de la Luz for an amount of 3,100,000 euros (VAT not included) for a period of 5 years and with a marketing percentage for the company. of 6.5%. Starting this Thursday, a period of 15 business days opens in which allegations can be presented.

The Minister of Innovation, Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Nuria Montes, has pointed out the importance of having an international company to develop the enormous potential of Alicante studios: “the MBS Group proposal contemplates a plan to revitalize the City of Light which is aligned with the objectives of the Generalitat to position the Valencian Community as an audiovisual cluster of international reference.”

“Our objective is to promote a development strategy that involves the activation of the local and national audiovisual ecosystem,” said Montes. To this end, the management of MBS Group proposes the celebration of its own events focused on digitalization and innovation that reinforce the internationalization of studies, as well as the organization of organized visits with the aim of attracting talent and local companies.

Furthermore, the councilor pointed out, “the involvement of the productive fabric of the Valencian Community with this project is essential, since it represents an opportunity for internationalization and diversification for SMEs.” In this sense, the company offers Valencian companies the integration and implementation of the highest technology to develop attraction and innovation programs with job guarantees both in Spain and in the international network that represents more than 80 study campuses and 600 scenarios per everyone.

The MBS group, according to data provided by the company itself, manages more than 30 studios and provides production services to more than 100, from Los Angeles to New York, from Vancouver to London, where works such as ‘The Mandalorian’ were filmed, ‘Outlander’ or ‘Avatar’. It is part of the Hackman Capital Partners group, founded in 1986 and based in Los Angeles, being the largest studio operating group and equipment service provider in the United States, Canada, Ireland, Great Britain and Scotland.

The surface of the studios reaches 900,000 square meters. It has more than 1,400 employees and more than a billion dollars in technological production equipment.
