The Figueres Court of Investigation has ordered prison for the 38-year-old man who entered the local animal shelter on Sunday afternoon and attacked two of its workers and two dogs.
As explained by the mayor, Jordi Masquef, on Sunday afternoon an acquaintance of the police who is squatting on a property in Figueres entered the kennel, released various animals and confronted those responsible for the facilities and attacked two of them.
The two people suffered minor injuries, were treated at the Figueres Hospital and were able to return to their homes.
The mayor also explained that “no dog has died, there are two dogs injured, one slightly injured in the jaw and a leg that has been treated by the veterinary services and has remained in the same center and another injured a little more seriously with burns.” in the body that has been transferred to a veterinary hospital in Girona.”
At the same moment of the attack, members of the Mossos and the Urban Police began their search and on Monday morning they arrested the alleged perpetrator, of Nigerian origin.
At around 10:15 a.m., fifteen Urban Guard agents who were participating in his search located him on the grounds of a house near the train tracks and the squatted farmhouse where he lived and, after a chase, they arrested him.
The detainee has been placed at the disposal of the Figueres Court of Investigation, which has ordered his entry into prison.
