The city of Castelló de la Plana yesterday broke the record for maximum (30.8º) and minimum (19.4º) temperatures in a month of March, since records were kept in 1912. Thus, the average temperature was 25, 1 degrees, the equivalent of July 5, as reported by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) through its social networks.

In the interior of the province of Castellón, this Saturday the maximums reached 19.4 degrees in Villafranca del Cid, 18.7 degrees in Morella and 16.7 degrees in Castellfort.

In the province of Valencia, the highest maximum is the one registered in Miramar with 28.2 degrees, followed by Llíria with 28 degrees, Valencia airport with 27.6 degrees, the capital reached 26.9 degrees and Xàtiva, 25 .9 degrees.

In the southern regions, the Alicante capital marked 29.5 degrees, the municipalities of Xàbia and Elx 29.4 degrees, Alcoi with 24.6 degrees and Pinoso with 24.1 degrees.

The Valencian Community will live a Sunday marked by slightly cloudy skies with intervals of high clouds and high temperatures for the time of year, which will touch 30º in some points. During the day, a weak west and northwest wind will blow with moderate intervals at first, which will turn to a southern component at noon, more strengthened on the coast, according to the prediction of the State Meteorological Agency.

As for temperatures, the minimum will experience a slight decrease; while the maximums will descend on the coast and will rise in the interior. Specifically, in the province of Castellón, the thermometers will record a maximum of 27º in Castelló de la Plana and Vall d’Uixò, and 23º in Vinaròs and Morella, while the minimum will range between 10º in Morella and 15º in Vall d’Uixó and Castelló.

In Valencia, the mercury will reach a maximum of 29º in Ontinyent, 28º in Valencia, 27º in Gandia and 26º in Requena. For their part, the minimums will be between 9º in Requena, 13º in Ontinyent and 16º in Valencia and Gandia. Finally, in Alicante, maximums of 29º are expected in Orihuela, 28º in Elche, 26º in Alicante, and 25º in Dénia and Alcoi. The minimums will be 13º in Alcoi, 14º in Dénia and Orihuela, 15º in Elche and 16º in Alicante.
