The Local Police of Alicante has immobilized 1,536 vapers in 16 establishments in the city for failing to comply with the regulations related to their commercialization, as reported by the City Council in a statement.
Agents from the Neighborhood Unit inspected several establishments in which, based on information received in previous weeks, they suspected that vaping devices that do not comply with health or safety regulations may be being sold. Given the proximity of the Christmas season and being aware that the products were ready for sale, also to minors, the agents proceeded to intervene.
In the operation, a total of 1,536 vapers were immobilized in 16 businesses, due to irregularities such as the amount of nicotine per inhalation; Its sale is not authorized in Spain as it is not included in the list of DSLN type products (Susceptible Nicotine Release Device); cartridges or tanks with a capacity greater than 2 ml; contain prohibited additives; failure to comply with required labeling and manipulation of labeling to mask its nicotine content.
