The Torre d’en Franch de Vic is one of the best remaining examples of the traditional Catalan rural house, the popular farmhouses. In this series of photographs for Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia, he shines at dawn in a sky lit by the flash.

La Torre d’en Franch is a farmhouse protected as a Cultural Asset of Local Interest. With a square floor plan, it is located near the Sant Ferm mountain range, a nucleus born in the shelter of a farmhouse that bears the same name, and a few meters from the railway level crossing.

It is one of the few farmhouses in the vicinity of Vic that preserves the tradition and continues to dedicate itself to agricultural tasks. In addition, it preserves a chapel, dedicated to the Virgen del Carmen.

In this case, the farmhouse is portrayed in the middle of the limelight, a meteorological phenomenon in which the clouds in the sky show a wide palette of colors ranging from pink to the most intense orange.

As part of the phenomenon of scattering of sunlight, in the morning and afternoon hours, when the sun is closest to the horizon, the light that reaches Earth is soft tones between red and orange.

In a certain way, when this light passes through the clouds, it illuminates them and it could be said that it colors them with those hues.
