I have captured for Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia this snapshot of the sunset on the beach of Vilassar de Mar, in the Maresme region.

Vilassar de Mar, previously known as Sant Joan de Vilassar, has traditionally been a fishing village, closely linked to the Mediterranean.

The image shows the arbol sky in the last hours of daylight, with the sun in the background, as if it had been transported in the distance by the train, whose track we can distinguish at the top of the stone mounds that separate it from the sea.

Despite the dark clouds, the bright sky seems to be taking over. It is a meteorological phenomenon in which the clouds show a wide palette of colors that ranges from pink to the most intense orange.

As part of the phenomenon of dispersion of sunlight, in the morning and afternoon hours, when the sun is closer to the horizon, the light that reaches the Earth is soft tones between red and orange.
