This Monday, Madrid held several acts of tribute to those who died in 11-M. Early in the morning, there was an event at the headquarters of the Community of Madrid, attended by Alberto Nuñez Feijóo, the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso and the Mayor, José Luis Martínez Almeida, and later another, to which The President of the Government and the Kings of Spain, Felipe and Letizia, have attended, along with other European authorities.
In addition, other politicians from the three administrations have participated in the different events. But many citizens have also placed flowers in Atocha and in the other two stations where 192 people died.
The worst day has been experienced by the families of the deceased, like Vera de Benito, who excitedly read a text at the headquarters of the Community of Madrid. She lost her father when she was 10 years old and has said that now she will not be able to accompany him to her wedding next September.
