One of the key days of the Easter operation in Madrid, this Tuesday, there have already been problems at the Chamartín station for high-speed trains arriving or leaving said station.

According to the railway manager, Adif, “trains to and from Madrid Chamartín are running late due to an incident that affects the signaling system in Madrid Chamartín. Adif staff are working to solve this incident as soon as possible.”

Travelers complain on networks about the delays and ask through network X if the delays will affect the departure of different trains throughout the morning of this Tuesday.

From 8:25 a.m. to 9:13 a.m., when traffic was gradually restored, traffic between the Botanical Garden and Madrid-Chamartín was suspended due to an incident at the interlockings* of this standard width section.

The incident has not affected Cercanías services or the conventional network. Maintenance teams and technologists have been working from the first moment to solve it until gradually establishing circulation starting at 9:13 a.m.

According to Adif, since 9:15 in the morning, the problem has been solved and the trains will gradually depart normally.
