The green fields of La Segarra are one of the most beautiful landscapes to discover this spring in Catalonia, as we can see in these images in La Vanguardia Readers’ Photos.
Furthermore, these wide expanses of crops are dotted with poppies and wild daisies that stain the omnipresent green background in red and white, favored by the last rains of April.
The predominant vegetation in the Segarra region is precisely the cereal fields somewhat dotted with pine forests, oak forests and oak forests.
We are located in a territory distributed on a plateau, which refers us to the Altiplà de la Segarra, which ranges from 450 to 900 meters of altitude and is located near the center of Catalonia, in the middle of the Segre river basin (to the west ), the Anoia river basin and the Llobregat river basin (to the east both).
It is an area with an economic structure based on agriculture, with the predominant cultivation of dryland cereal, which now looks green.
