2023 will start exciting for the entrepreneurs of Startup Valencia, since the Valencian association has confirmed that in February 2023 the works will finally begin in what will be its future headquarters, the old Valencia Maritime Station, located in the port of Valencia .
What is now formally called “The Terminal” -as its president Juan Luis Hortelano explained in La Vanguardia- will be a work space but also a meeting space and that is why Startup Valencia has launched a form to its partners with which they want them to understand the needs and motivations of the physical space that the ecosystem will have from the fourth quarter of 2023. They assure that this will help them to better “conceptualize” the “La Terminal” project, a space for which the association had fought in court for a long time.
The space is located in the center of the innovative district of La Marina de Valencia next to the Clock Building and will house more than 500 highly-qualified jobs. Startup Valencia estimates that more than 5,000 professionals from the sector will participate annually in different activities, programs and training and networking events that take place there.
His proposal is to create an environment that “invites collaboration and the exchange of ideas, that serves as a pole to develop them”, where the open innovation that is already deployed in the Valencian Community materializes and that becomes “the epicenter that brings together the entire technological ecosystem of the region”.
The Startup Valencia initiative is included in the Valencia Innovation District proposal, the vehicle with a share capital of 600,000 euros, made up of various partners to opt for the management of the space. Gone are the waits and the resources for the contest won by the Belgian company Fosbury
