The doctor Xavier Aldeguer and the journalist Núria Riquelme will be numbers 2 and 3 of the Junts per Catalunya candidacy in the Girona municipal elections. The mayor, Gemma Geis, has presented this weekend the first fifteen positions on the list, remarking that it is a plural candidacy. They are, as she has underlined, profiles designed “to develop this city of talent, connected and with values ??that we want Girona to be”.
“It is a list made up of people who love Girona, who are highly educated, with a vocation for public service and who want to dedicate part of their lives to the city and its people”, said Geis.
The candidate for Junts has also remarked that the list has representation from many neighborhoods and that this “gives a broad vision of the city”, just as it is also a list “connected to different sectors” such as health, entrepreneurship, associationism , education, sports, culture, economy, music, universities, the food sector, technology and the world of law.
The candidate explained that they have designed the list seeking to form a team of professionals prepared to work on the priority axes that are marked, such as developing initiatives aimed at promoting health and sports; the modernization and digitization of the administration; an education with values ??and inclusive; city ??planning facing the challenges of energy transition and sustainability; the reinforcement of communication to bring the city council closer to the citizenry and make them participate in monitoring and decision-making; the promotion of the entrepreneurial and research ecosystem; or the rigorous and transparent management of the administration.
The gastroenterologist Xavier Aldeguer will occupy second place on this list, and the journalist and communicator Núria Riquelme will rank 3. The current Councilor for the Treasury and Internal Regime of Girona City Council, Ma. Àngels Planas, and for Territori, Lluís Martí, They will be numbers 4 and 5. They will be followed by the nurse, psychologist and member of the Board of the College of Nurses of Girona, Sílvia Bosch; the lawyer and member of the Girona Defense Law volunteer group, Albert Carreras; the economist and auditor Mercè Garcia; the businessman in the meat sector and quality auditor, Jordi Utiel; the music teacher and composer Mercè Rigau; the current head of the auditorium of the Girona Auditorium and graduate in Business Administration and Economics, Anna Sellabona; the computer engineer and expert in management and quality systems at the UdG, Santi Cots; the secretary of the San Narciso Neighborhood Association, Sònia Valero; the general director of Bàsquet Girona and financial adviser, Xavier Gasau; and the entrepreneur and printer Lluís Masdevall.
