I captured for Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia the passage of the Vota cyclist by Berga, in front of the monument to the Patum, by Salvador Vinyes. In the background, we can see the mountain of Queralt.
It is a monument dedicated to the Patum festival. It has the shape of a letter made with a single stroke and is the logo that has been used in recent years.
It was possible to pay for it thanks to contributions of 5 euros from all the people who wanted to collaborate (4,086), whose names appear on the monument.
This work was installed in May 2010, showing itself as a 6.40 meter high Corten iron structure reproducing the Patum logo.
For its part, the Sierra de Queralt is a natural area located in the center of the Berguedà region and which forms the boundary between the smooth forms of the Ebro basin and the steeper reliefs of the Pyrenees. It is included within the municipalities of Berga, Castellar del Riu and Capolat.
