FC Barcelona director Miquel Camps set social networks on fire yesterday with a tweet criticizing Vinícius Jr’s attitude in the Champions League match that Real Madrid was playing in Braga. The Madrid forward enjoyed himself with some bicycles against a rival in a gesture that the Blaugrana manager pointed out on his social networks.
“It’s not racism, he deserves a slap for being a clown and a lazy person, what do these unnecessary and meaningless bicycles represent in the center of the field,” he published on his profile on the social network ‘X’, formerly known as Twitter. A controversial publication that quickly went viral and that the deputy spokesperson for the board of directors would end up deleting minutes later.
Despite deleting the post from their social networks, the message even reached the Real Madrid locker room. After finishing the match, from the mixed zone, Rodrygo Goes defended his compatriot and teammate at Real Madrid. “I don’t even know if I can talk about it because the club always tells us not to talk, but it’s unfortunate, there’s not much to say, it’s very ugly,” declared the white player at the National Stadium in Braga.
Real Madrid beat Braga thanks to goals from Rodrygo and Bellingham, who finished the game with physical problems. The controversial tweet by the Blaugrana manager was caused by an action by Vinícius against a rival defender, in which with the ball stopped he made numerous bicycles without advancing for a few seconds before trying to make a tunnel that did not work out and another rival sent the ball to out of band.
