The Barcelona Woman Acceleration Week (BWAW), the event to promote gender equality promoted by the Barcelona Free Trade Zone Consortium (CZFB), closed its fourth edition this Thursday with 2,617 attendees, the organization said.

The figure is similar to last year. For three days, the DFactory building brought together 67 speakers who participated in 14 debates on issues that affect women in the economic and labor spheres.

“I am very proud because we have been there for four years and we are seeing a positive evolution,” said the general director of the CZFB, Blanca Sorigué. “With BWAW we manage to raise awareness throughout society about an issue that concerns us all,” she added.

The special delegate of the State in the CZFB, Pere Navarro, recalled that the BWAW “was designed to visualize the pending problems or challenges in terms of gender equality and also to value all those women who are in masculinized economic sectors.”
