The police suspect that the four-year-old boy who died in Mallorca trapped in the dryer had gotten into the appliance while playing hide-and-seek. According to Ultima Hora, the little boy hid when his aunt fell asleep on the couch in the house and his grandmother, who was with them, had momentarily left the home.
Investigators believe that the little boy went out to the terrace of the house, where the family had the washing machine and dryer, as well as other belongings. He went into the dryer to hide and it is believed that the door closed accidentally and the little boy was trapped and unable to get out. The boy tried and the coroner found that he had injuries to his knuckles from hitting the door to get out.
When the grandmother arrived home, she realized that the child was missing and began to look for him until she discovered that he was trapped and that was when she called the emergency services. The dramatic circumstances of the event caused the family to go into a state of shock and they had to be treated by emergency services.
When medical services arrived at the scene, they tried to stabilize the child but it was impossible to revive him because he was already in very poor condition. Forensics will perform an autopsy to determine the causes of death, which could be due to drowning, according to first suspicions.
