The corpse of a man has appeared this Saturday floating in the waters of the Bilbao estuary, near the Atxuri neighborhood, as reported by the Basque Department of Security.
The body was found around 10:20 a.m. and, after being rescued from the water by the emergency services, the forensic doctor who came to the scene certified the death.
The Ertzaintza has taken over the investigation, although no further information on the deceased has been disclosed for the moment. The corpse has been transferred to the Forensic Pathology Service in Bilbao for the practice of the autopsy that will determine the causes of death.
