The Urban Guard of Badalona (Barcelonès Nord), influencing one of the powers announced by Mayor Albiol, acting as administrative police, has intervened in an establishment, run by people of Pakistani origin, located on Francesc Macià street that was dedicated to restoration, but which also operated illegally as a mechanical workshop and distribution point for textile material. The people who run the premises carried out activities of purchasing, selling and repairing vehicles, occupying public roads without any type of authorization and distributed textile material fraudulently.
In addition, the municipal security body has initiated procedures to sanction various administrative security violations, such as, for example, the lack of fire extinguishers and the storage of flammable material without any precautionary measures. During the inspection, the agents also verified that a part of the premises was used as a home without the required occupancy certificate, which is why proceedings have also been opened.
In total, six minutes have been drawn up for different administrative infractions that the Urban Police have transferred to the Urban Discipline Department of the Badalona City Council so that the corresponding administrative disciplinary proceedings can be initiated and the business can be closed immediately.
The mayor of Badalona, ??Xavier Garcia Albiol, has highlighted the importance of this type of controls carried out by the Badalona Urban Guard to put an end to situations like this case, in which non-compliance with safety regulations has been detected. “From the Badalona government we ensure the safety of residents and we will continue to act against those establishments that do not comply with the rules,” explained the mayor.
