The Catalan Association of Japanese Calligraphy, Acashodo, has selected a series of works that can be seen in the exhibition hall of the Cultural Center of La Mercè in Girona until the end of March.

These are works of their founders: Eva Ibanez Cano, Christian T. Arjona, Andi Dom Dom and Gerardo D. Cristante. In addition, there is painting on ceramic by Lucinda Clay.

We can see both the brush strokes representing the most classic calligraphy and other more experimental ones. There are also figurative works of landscapes and others of a more abstract nature, as can be seen in these photographs in La Vanguardia’s Photos of Readers.

The techniques applied in these exhibited works are diverse, highlighting Chinese ink for the expressive power of the black line on white.
