A brutal storm has caused chaos in Mallorca. This past weekend the Balearic island has faced an orange alert due to strong gusts of wind and torrential rains inside, resulting in numerous damages.

In addition to the destruction of the terraces of several hotels, or the fall of trees and branches, the storm has also left behind a terrifying scene during an Alicante-Palma flight, which has unleashed chaos among its passengers.

Captain Scarlet from the Pirates Adventure show in Magaluf, Estela Orts, has been in charge of sharing some of the most horrifying images with her followers on her Instagram profile.

In the InstaStory, Orts shows the interior of the plane, while it is hit by the strong storm. In the video, you can see how the passengers panic, screaming every time the aircraft destabilizes.

The dancer has written a statement recounting her experience in more detail on networks: “Now calmer… Today I was born again. I hope the pilot of the plane reads this: Thank you, thank you for what you have done today, you should not have asked us sorry, the minutes seemed to last forever but in the end it was a scare. It was the first time in my life that it crossed my mind to think that ‘I’ve come this far'”.

“The flight had been delayed due to the storm in Palma de Mallorca, we waited on the plane until they received the ‘ok’. The takeoff has already been strange for me, at the beginning of the flight we had a bit of turbulence but something normal. I had already written to my family (who were a little scared), because they had seen the storm on the news. Until it passed. The plane began to fall. People and children screaming, vomiting, I didn’t I was able to avoid crying. I don’t know how long that moment could have lasted but it has been eternal,” says Estela.

The dancer has compared this tragic scene to a roller coaster: “Nobody said what was happening over the loudspeaker, not even when it was already stable. Until some time had passed, then, the pilot explained why he had no words and a logical reason seems to me: crosswinds of 130 km/h. We tried to land and we couldn’t, two laps around the entire island and it was impossible to go down, suddenly we stopped seeing it and started to go up. The pilot has decided “The best option was to return to Alicante. At 10:30 we took off, at 12:36 we landed. (The flight normally lasts 40 minutes),” he says.

Finally, the flight ended up returning to Alicante, its city of origin, and its passengers will be able to try to fly to Mallorca starting tomorrow.
