In Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia we propose this route along the Llobregat river, from the Baells reservoir, passing through the Pedret bridge area, following Gironella and, at the foot of Montserrat, in Castellvell and Vilar.

The rains of the weeks prior to this new heat wave have meant that the Llobregat already has an abundant flow, after months of persistent drought.

In this section from the Baells reservoir to Castellvell i Vilar we find beautiful landscapes, heritage elements with history and places to bathe fleeing the summer heat.

The Llobregat River is born in the municipality of Castellar de N’Hug and flows into the Mediterranean Sea. It is approximately 156 km long and bathes an area of ??4,948 km2 of the Catalan territory. It is an important river, since it provides drinking water to cities such as Sabadell, L’Hospitalet and a large part of Barcelona.

The Llobregat River offers opportunities for recreational activities and tourism. There is a route called Camí del Llobregat, which is 50 kilometers long and allows you to discover the river and its surroundings.

You can also enjoy the river delta, which is a natural space where you can do activities such as cycling, hiking and bird watching.
