2023 was a beautiful year for Soraya Arnelas. The singer walked down the aisle with the love of her life Miguel Ángel Herrera a little over half a year ago. A link that culminated in the artist’s pregnancy, as she revealed in Semana magazine. ”She is a very wanted baby,” she assured. However, now sad news has warmed everyone’s hearts: Arnelas has lost the baby she was expecting.

Through an Instagram publication, the representative of Spain in Eurovision 2009 has revealed this sad fact. “Dear friends. We are not very good at communicating this type of news, you know that we always try to maintain a cheerful line on our networks, but as in life it cannot always be like that,” they began to relate in a joint statement that They never expected to have to do it.

“Unfortunately, we lost the baby that was on the way a few weeks ago,” said the couple, broken with grief. A news that they have revealed “because of the love and respect” that they say they receive every day from their followers. And, despite not being able to contain the sadness it entails, they have not hesitated to express their feelings in an emotional open letter.

“We really wanted to be able to be a large family, but sometimes the plans are not in one’s hands,” they added. However, it is not a fact that it happened recently. They themselves have taken it upon themselves to clarify that they have decided to let some time pass before writing these lines, to be able to do so “from calm, from reason and from love, without anger involved.”

And despite it being a setback in their lives, they wanted to make it clear that they are going to take everything as a lesson. With this, they have learned to “value what one has and enjoy it every day.” Likewise, they wanted to thank “for having two wonderful and healthy daughters”, who are being their greatest support. And the couple has little Manuela and Olivia, six and two years old respectively.

Even so, and although this has brought them much closer together, it still represents a blow to the family. “We do not want to overlook all the families who have gone through these moments like us, we want to send a message of encouragement and an infinite hug to all of them,” they added.

After opening their hearts, they have assured that their lives will not stop because of this and that they continue to have plans to increase their family. “We continue to have dreams and family projects, which with calm and time will find their moment, God willing.

These words have been accompanied by a drawing. And, as the couple relates, Manuela, her eldest daughter, found no better way to express her feelings than by capturing the baby in the sky, among clouds, birds and the sun. Without a doubt, a sweet farewell to a difficult moment.
