The Catalan brand Simorra has starred in the second fashion show of the 33rd edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion. While Escorpion, the brand that inaugurated the catwalk, has presented its collection for next autumn-winter, Simorra has opted for the see by now, that is, its proposal for the spring-summer season, which has just arrived.
‘The art of Braiding’ is the title of the collection that is inspired by the connection of all those women who braided their stories in community, as a symbol of strength, courage and union, betting on a collective life far from individualism. The collection highlights the act of braiding, an ancient act of concentration and meditation, outlining, in some way, what the collaborative processes of tomorrow could become.
With knitting as a base, Simorra presents braids on straps, collars, bodies, skirts or dresses. There are hardly any prints in the collection, they are all plain garments in beige, blue, green tones and the show has ended with black. Complementing the braided garments are trench coats and leather jackets.
A collection that has conveyed excitement to the large audience that came to witness the parade, among whom was the singer Sara Roy, partner of the singer Miki Núñez. The opening day of 080 Barcelona Fashion continued with the shows by Hoss Intropía, Lola Casademunt by Maite and Sita Murt.
