The Escorpion brand, about to celebrate its centenary in 2029, has been in charge of inaugurating the catwalk of the 33rd edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion, which is being held in the modernist venue of Sant Pau until Friday, April 12 . And she has done it with the Re-Connection collection, where she has wanted to claim knitwear more than ever, as the basis of his signature and of the woman’s wardrobe.

Jessica Raya is the new creative director of the Igualada firm taking over from Carles Gràcia and in the collection presented at 080 for next fall-winter she wanted to recreate a sensory experience from the point, giving it shape and color.

Jacquards and flower prints in a lilac color palette, without forgetting neutral tones and greens. As for the clothes, XXL bombers, shorts and tops, dresses and long, wide pants create the contemporary silhouette of women.

In the front-row of the inaugural parade of 080 was a large political representation led by the president of the Generalitat, Pere Aragonés, with his wife Janina Juli, the Minister of Business and Work, Roger Torrent, and the director of the Consortium of Commerce, Crafts and Fashion, Agnés Russiñol.

Before the Escorpion fashion show, Pere Aragonés inaugurated the 33rd edition of 080, highlighting that “the 080 platform aims to give visibility to the creative talent that is developed in Catalonia.”

The president of the Generalitat has also highlighted that “080 is much more than a fashion week, because it incorporates values ??such as sustainability, inclusion, especially feminist and for all bodies.” He has pointed out that the commitment to “other disciplines such as new technologies opens new opportunities for brands and designers.” And he finished his welcome speech with these words: “If the league of the present and the future that is being played is that of creativity. Catalonia has a lot to say and to win.”

Then the president and his companions visited the 080Aesthetics area, where the Misato creative studio shows the work of different artists whose works are related to fashion brands or singers, music and fashion icons.
