Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi is once again admitted to the San Raffaele hospital in Milan. According to political sources have told Corriere della Sera, he is in intensive care for lung problems. He would have undergone a CT scan and is waiting for other tests to be carried out.
The 86-year-old four-time prime minister was released from hospital last week after spending three days in for medical check-ups. After being discharged, he wanted to thank his followers for their support and ensure that he had returned to work “on the main issues of these days, ready and determined to commit myself, as I have always done, for the country I love,” he wrote.
In 2020, Berlusconi was admitted with coronavirus and bilateral pneumonia at San Raffaele, although he was discharged a few days later. Since then he has repeatedly passed through the hospital. One of the last was in January 2022, due to a urinary tract infection.
