Sad panorama in Sant Martà Sescorts when seeing these thirsty fields in the middle of spring around the hermitage of Santa Maria de Vilanova o de les Escales, as reflected in these images in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia.
The hermitage is surrounded by fields, which, although they are green in some sections, other years they looked much better. And it is that the drought takes its toll, especially if it is so persistent.
Near the Coromines farmhouse, we find this hermitage of Santa Maria de Vilanova or de les Escales, a 16th century building, with lines between late Gothic and Renaissance.
The wild poppies seem to be the only ones that seem to break the sadness of this dry spring, although sometimes we see them too lonely.
