À Punt Radiotelevisión Valenciana will broadcast live at 00:01 a great pyrotechnic show with the firing of four fireworks displays simultaneously from different points in the city of Valencia.

The presenters, Ximo Rovira and Àlex Blanquer, after ringing the bells from the Town Hall square and toasting the new year, will give way to a “unique event never done in València or in another city in Spain” that hopes to consolidate and “grow every year” with a view to future editions.

In this show, 2,000 kilograms of gunpowder will be fired through 3,000 firing orders, the public broadcaster said in a statement.

This has been explained by the Fallas councilor of the Valencia City Council, Santiago Ballester, and the manager of Pirotecnia Vulcano, José Luis Giménez. Both have assured that the objective of this show is “to place Valencia as the city of gunpowder, on a par with Sydney, Dubai and London.”

The fires will be launched from the roof of the Valencia City Hall, and three other points of the old bed of the Turia River: in front of the Serrano Towers, the Bus Station and the City of Arts and Sciences. To carry out the broadcast, the public broadcaster will use a mobile unit with eight cameras and a drone that will offer spectacular 360º images.

The special programming of À Punt will begin at 10.30 pm live from the Palau de les Comunications, in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento. At 10:50 p.m., there will be a special Campanades 2024, by Àlex Blanquer, Ximo Rovira and Óscar Tramoyeres.

At 11:40 p.m. the most anticipated moment of New Year’s Eve will arrive: the chimes from the Plaza del Ayuntamiento de València with Ximo Rovira and Àlex Blanquer.
