The Investigating Court 7 of Rubí (Barcelona) has decreed this Thursday provisional detention without bail for five suspects in the group rape of a girl in a demolished industrial warehouse in the city at the end of December. In a car to which Europa Press has had access, the judge maintains that there are “well-founded suspicions” that they committed a crime of sexual assault against the victim.

The five will enter provisional detention, after considering the judge that there is a “risk of flight”, and they are prohibited from communicating with and approaching the victim and her daughter. All the detainees are of legal age, between 20 and 25 years old; the victim is also of legal age. According to the car, the girl was raped by five men in a demolished industrial warehouse, to which they took her by force, and in which the investigators later found cigarette butts and a used condom.

The victim’s story has been constant throughout the investigation [picks up the car] and “is corroborated peripherally by various external and objective elements.”

Among others, the judge recounts that one of the victim’s friends explained the state of anguish in which he found her after the rape, something that is also reflected in the messages they exchanged over the following days.
