The fourth model of the Polestar brand, a Swedish electric vehicle company, will arrive in early 2024 with a style that will not leave us indifferent. At a time when cars look very similar, sometimes too much, it is fortunate to discover, from time to time, manufacturers that make differences in style. And Polestar does it, without prejudice and with daring. It is the advantage of starting from scratch, without inheritances from the past, in a European market in which design and quality continue to weigh heavily.

Polestar’s challenge is not minor, since this new SUV with a sporty appearance and 4.84 meters in length comes to rival cars such as the Kia EV6 GT, the Lexus RZ, the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV or the Hyundai Ioniq 6. Its launch is scheduled for early 2024 and the approximate price, still indicative, is 60,000 euros.

To offer the most attractive range possible, the Polestar 4 will have rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions, with one or two engines respectively. The most powerful version will have 544 HP and will be able to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds. That is, like a purebred sports car.

This two-motor version has a function that allows you to disconnect the front when not necessary, in order to save energy and increase autonomy, which Polestar places at 560 km. The Nordic brand will offer its customers a package aimed at improving dynamic qualities (Performance Pack), which consists of 22-inch wheels, brakes from the Italian manufacturer Brembo with four-piston calipers and a specific chassis tuning.

More affordable and probably reasonable for daily use, the single-motor Polestar 4 has 272 horsepower and an estimated range of 600 kilometers. A figure, without a doubt, excellent.

As a demonstration of the importance that the brand attaches to design, the Polestar 4 delves into elements introduced in the Polestar Precept prototype. This includes the elimination of the rear window to offer a new immersive experience to the occupants of the back seat, as well as the separation of the Dual Blade headlights with an exclusive Polestar light, to which we must add its emblem illuminated from below .

Interior materials include recycled fabrics, special vinyl and nappa upholstery with animal protection certification.
