The Collet de les Barraques (Planoles), at 1910 meters of altitude, looks like the scene of a safari (in this case, photographic), due to the great diversity of fauna that we can observe, as seen in Las Fotos de los Lectores de The Vanguard

The route to the Collet de les Barraques leaves the town of Planoles, located on the road that goes from Ribes de Freser to the Collada de Tosses.

We can also see the Puigmal, in Alta Cerdanya, which is the second highest mountain in the demarcation of Girona, with 2914 meters, and is located on the border between Spain and France.

But in the Collet de les Barraques the great landscapes are intermingled with the small details of nature, with the tiniest insects.

While the cattle graze in the beautiful green mountain meadows, the signs invite us to follow some of the hiking trails within our reach.

A sign warns us that we can observe carrion birds, which fly across the sky waiting to find the right prey to feed on.

Another of the posters announces the route of the chamois and the marmots. With luck, we will be able to photograph them to complete our high mountain safari in Ripollès.

And, with the latest rains, accompanied by a rise in temperatures, mushrooms proliferate in the fields, as if it were a storybook landscape.
