The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, will visit Israel and Palestine this Thursday, November 23, on his first international trip after being sworn in on November 16, according to Moncloa sources.
Sánchez, who this Monday made public the composition of his new Executive, will carry out this visit together with the Prime Minister of Belgium, Alexander de Croo. Spain currently holds the rotating presidency of the EU Council and Belgium will take over from January.
Both leaders will discuss with President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as well as with the President of the Palestinian National Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, the impact of the terrorist attack perpetrated by Hamas against Israel on October 7, and the critical humanitarian situation. in the Gaza Strip caused by the Israeli response.
