After the visit of Raúl Cimas, El Hormiguero continued with its regular guests, receiving the actor Patrick Criado, star of the series Las noches de Tefía, the new Atresplayer bet. The guest talked about his role, but also remembered when he was suspected of being a car thief by the Police.
On June 25, this series will be released based on one of the most unknown episodes in the history of our country, such as the concentration camps in which those convicted by the Law of Vagrants and Crooks were confined. This place was baptized as Colonia Agrícola Penitenciaria de Tefía, located in a small town on the island of Fuerteventura.
The man from Madrid has managed to become a well-known face for viewers thanks to his roles in well-known and popular series such as Águila Roja, Mar de plástico, Vivir sin permiso and Antidisturbios. But, without a doubt, his most international role was in the fifth season of La casa de papel, where he played the son of Berlin.
In the first moments of the interview, Motos wanted to know what it was like to prepare for a role as complicated as that of the Atresmedia series, in which he also has to dance and sing, something that put him in various troubles. In the role he casts himself, he plays a boy who dreamed of becoming a dancer.
Very attentive, the presenter asked him some tricks to learn to dance, although the guest admitted that he is not exactly a great dancer. “Forget about the peña and try to move as you feel”, he recommended so that he could give it his all at the beginning of the program each night.
Easier was being able to get into other aspects of his character, for which he did a great job of preparation: “My character is from Cádiz and I had a coach to have an accent. I also went to Cádiz to prepare the character, I got together with the people, went out partying…”.
After reviewing his time in the series, the host of El Hormiguero wanted to bring to light one of Criado’s personal anecdotes. “Is it true that for the Police you were suspected of being a car thief?” A question to which he answered bluntly: “They thought he was a thief because he had a Seat Leon.”
But the story did not end there, since the actor recalled that “at the age of 18 I used to go around with my friends in the car”, being his only entertainment for quite some time. When talking about the police stopping him, Pablo thought that it would only be a few times, but nothing could be further from the truth: “They stopped me more than 200 times.”
Faced with the disbelief of the Valencian, the actor had to explain that not all of them ended up being a problem. “Sometimes they recognized me and told me that I was from Águila Roja and to take a picture of me,” he said with a smile.
