Pamela Anderson is in a new stage of her life. Empowered and after shaking off once and for all the hypersexualized and blonde bombshell image that has haunted her for so many years, the actress and singer now explores self-acceptance and natural beauty. Thus, Ella Anderson has attracted the attention of the media by attending the great French fashion event, Paris Fashion Week, without makeup.

Wearing an oversized pinstriped suit, her hair flying in the wind and without a drop of makeup, the actress caused a sensation in the front row of The Row. Quite a declaration of intentions that she would later reiterate as a guest at the Victoria Beckham and Vivienne Westwood fashion shows. On social networks, the artist accompanied her images with a powerful message: “There is beauty in self-acceptance, imperfection and love.”

Her new natural image has aroused the interest of her followers and the press, and has made her the new standard-bearer of natural beauty, as other celebrities of the stature of Alicia Keys were before.

Asked at the exit of Victoria Beckham’s fashion show, during an interview for I_D, about her biggest beauty secret, Anderson answered: “Today, do nothing.” The Broadway singer says that at these moments in her life her great aspiration is to embrace self-acceptance as well as understand that sometimes you don’t have to look for impossible standards but rather believe that you are good and beautiful enough.

“Instead of growing old I like the word live, in this new stage I feel relieved, as if a weight had been lifted off my shoulders,” she admits in the same interview and adds that beyond accepting her natural beauty she has also changed her way of dressing: “now I dress for myself and not for others.”

Anderson joins a long list of celebrities who have decided to embrace natural beauty and self-acceptance at any age. The first was Alicia Keys, who announced in 2015 that she was giving up makeup forever. They have been joined by other well-known faces who, although they have not decided to cut corners with makeup, have begun to show themselves without it on social networks, red carpets or on stage. This is the case of artists like Shakira, Jennifer López and Eva Longoria.
