Ophelia Nichols (known as Mama Tot), a beloved TikTok star, shared a Tuesday update with her followers after authorities claimed that her son had been selling marijuana the day before he was shot to death.

Randon Lee (18) was shot and killed at a Prichard gas station, according to the Prichard Police Department.

Nichols stated that she and her family discovered a lot of things they didn’t know about Lee before his death.

Nichols shared this message to her 7.6 million followers via a Tuesday video on @shoelover99.

“But, we’ve been informed that the detectives believe that marijuana was being traded. My son was there and they either tried to rob him or robbed him. But he was killed.

Nichols did not respond immediately to a request for comment. She is well-known for her charm and Southern accent, which spreads joy and positivity. Nichols posted an emotional video on Saturday asking her followers to help find the suspect.

Detective Jason Hadaway stated Monday that “multiple suspects” were identified but no arrests had been made. Prichard Police Department didn’t immediately respond to NBC News’ request for comment on Thursday.

Hadaway stated that Lee and the suspect arrived at the same station in separate vehicles.

Hadaway stated that the suspect in the black car got into the victim’s car. “We know there was only one shot. “The suspect got out of victim’s car with a gun and then got back into his vehicle. He took off.”

According to Hadaway, Lee, who had been injured, drove across the street towards another station, where he later died.

Nichols shared in her video that her son had “a lot of trouble” following the death of his father.

She continued, “We just didn’t know.” “He is a good person, and he comes to this country from a loving family. But sometimes, that doesn’t really matter. Sometimes, those things don’t really matter.”
