The AP-7 highway is closed this morning at the height of La Jonquera in the direction of the border with France as a result of the fire of a coach, whose passengers are uninjured, according to the Catalan Traffic Service.
The passengers of the bus, indicate the Fire Department of the Generalitat, have left the vehicle under their own power and have not needed medical assistance from the troops of the Medical Emergency System (SEM) posted to the area.
Due to the incident, the AP-7 has one lane closed and registers 4.5 kilometers of traffic jams at the height of La Jonquera (Girona) and in the direction of France. The alternative route is the N-II, in which there are 3.5 kilometers of queue in a northerly direction.
The holdups are specifically registered between Agullana (Girona) and La Jonquera, reports the Catalan Traffic Service in a tweet picked up by Europa Press.
