The explosion of a mobile phone could have been the cause of a fire that started this morning in a home in Linares that resulted in the smoke inhalation of a 58-year-old woman and the eviction of around twenty people, as a preventive measure. as reported by Emergencies 112 Andalusia.
The event took place in an apartment on Martínez de la Rosa street around 2:45 a.m. when Telephone 112 received the first notices alerting of a fire in a home on the fourth floor. Quickly, the Linares Fire Department, the Health Emergency Center 061, the National Police and the Local Police were activated from the coordinating room.
According to Emergency 112, around twenty residents of the third and fourth floors had to be evacuated due to the fire, although once the extinguishing work was completed they were able to return to their homes.
The owner of the damaged home was the only one affected and was evacuated by the health services to the San Agustín Hospital. Everything indicates that the fire originated from a cell phone in the living room, according to police sources.
