The celebration of the Spanish National Team begins with the 23 footballers on stage. The fans have been waiting for them for hours in the streets of Madrid and, shouting “World Champions”, they have welcomed them on stage, in Madrid Río, to celebrate this epic victory in the World Cup.

One by one they went up on stage and received a standing ovation, although the one received by Olga Carmona, who went up holding the trophy along with Ivana Andrés and Jorge Vilda, was particularly emotional.

After the ovation, the microphone belonged to Olga, who began her speech holding back tears. “Today is a very special day for all of Spain, but it also has a difficult part for me,” after the tragic news about the death of her father.

The Sevillian went on to explain that “yesterday was a day full of emotions. At times it was the best day of my life and then it became the worst.” Despite this, she explained, before all the fans, that “I am very excited to be able to bring this joy to the whole country.”

Carmona has taken the opportunity to give visibility to all those people who are no longer there. “Here you have the star that you wanted so much, not only the one we carry on our chests but also the ones we have in the sky and that have accompanied us”.

Although Olga Carmona’s words were not the only ones of the night, between performances, such as that of Vicco or Camela, several of the players have intervened, thanking the fans for their unconditional support during the World Cup and now in the celebration.
