Nine people have been rescued this Sunday at sea, off the coast of Barcelona, after the strong wind that blew this Sunday in the area prevented them from reaching the beach.
The Barcelona Fire Brigade have reported this rescue, which they have carried out together with Maritime Rescue, with which they have brought nine people to land who had gone to sea to practice water sports and have been surprised by the wind.
This fire brigade has moved three land crews and two rescue boats to the beach of the Catalan capital.
Of the nine people rescued, three of them have been treated by the Bombers nurse with symptoms of mild hypothermia and have been discharged on site.
The firefighters have asked citizens to exercise extreme caution when practicing water sports, an attitude that includes consulting the weather forecast, carrying aid items to stay afloat and thermal protection, as well as reporting the location and time expected return.
