Apple’s iPadOS 18 Update: Changes in Device Compatibility
Apple is set to release iPadOS 18, which will bring about some significant changes in device compatibility. According to a reliable source, iPadOS 18 will drop support for certain iPad models that are equipped with the A10X Fusion chip.
Specifically, the 10.5-inch iPad Pro and the second-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro will no longer be supported by iPadOS 18. Additionally, the sixth-generation iPad, which uses the regular A10 Fusion chip, will also lose support. However, the seventh-generation iPad will still be compatible with iPadOS 18.
The following iPad models will be compatible with iPadOS 18:

Apple is expected to announce iPadOS 18 at its Worldwide Developers Conference, starting on June 10, with the update anticipated to be available to users with compatible devices in September.
iPadOS 18 is expected to introduce a range of AI-related features under the umbrella term “Apple Intelligence.” However, these features will only be supported on iPads powered by an M1 chip or later.
