The municipal workers of Girona have resumed this Thursday morning, indefinitely, the noisy mobilizations in the Plaça del Vi to demand that the local government fulfill the commitments that include salary increases for the Valuation of Jobs (VPT) and the 3% increase established by the State.

Rafael Navarro, head of the CCOO union section, highlighted that ten months ago they reached agreements and, therefore, they stopped the mobilizations, but the City Council “has not complied.”

Navarro has assured that the situation is generating discomfort within the staff because, on average, they should increase the salary by 340 euros per month per employee. “We demand that equal work, equal pay,” he said.
