The Bando Fallero for the 2024 festivities announced by the mayor of València, María José Catalá, foresees that the drink bars installed by the Fallas commissions will be able to dispense alcohol until two in the morning. A circumstance that will surely generate controversy given that the closing of the festivals is scheduled at 4 in the morning. In addition, cutting hours can generate anger from commissions who will see their income reduced.

The party, which aims to make it easier for the Fallas groups and the rest of the citizens to ensure that the exercise of their activities can be compatible, points out that “the bars may not exceed eight meters in length” and in them “they will not be exempt, under “no concept, alcoholic beverages to minors.”

As reported by the City Council in a statement, the Fallas tents installed on public roads, the City Council informs that the installation will be authorized from March 7 until 7:00 a.m. on March 21. The Fallero Bando warns that in the case of those tents “that affect the route of the EMT lines and may cause significant harm to citizens”, later authorization dates may be proposed, always in advance of the plant, with the objective of minimizing its impact on the public transport network.

The holding of popular festivals and discomobiles on public roads are allowed on March 9 and from 15 to 18, 2024, between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. the next day.

Likewise, the Fallas commissions around La Llotja, Mercado Central and Russafa are recommended to carry out their festivals and activities with musical atmosphere in the evening hours.

Along these lines, it is recalled that “article 38 of the Valencian Cultural Heritage Law will be taken into account, which prohibits the placement of advertising signs and posters, apparent conduits and inappropriate elements in historic gardens and on the facades and roofs of monuments. , as well as all those elements that impair or prevent its adequate appreciation or contemplation.” In this regard, the Valencia City Council emphasizes that “the surroundings or visuals will be taken into consideration with respect to the most important monuments, such as the Llotja or the Central Market.”

Finally, the document also states that the failure commissions will only be able to set off pyrotechnic shows if they have an area authorized by the City Council. This area must be divided into two areas, one for launching and another for safety. To respect neighborhood rest and animal welfare, it is recommended not to shoot fireworks between 3 and 5 p.m.
