More than 22,500 people take the tests for the Valencian qualification

A total of 22,564 people have taken the level certification tests of the Valencian Knowledge Qualification Board (JQCV) in 2023, which implies an increase of 759 people compared to the previous year, despite the fact that the enrollment of this year has been 3 percent lower than that of 2022.

The average number of people presented has been 60% of the people registered. The level with the highest participation is C1 with 69% and, on the contrary, the lowest is B2 with 56%, as detailed by the Generalitat in a statement.

Throughout the month of October and the first Saturday of November, the people who signed up for the Valencian tests have taken the different parts of the tests.

On Saturday, October 14, the written areas of all levels A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2 took place. The following Saturday, October 21, the oral tests for level C1 were held, the following Saturday, levels A2, B1 and B2, and, on November 4, C2.

The distribution of the oral sessions on subsequent Saturdays has allowed the participants to know in advance the results obtained in the first areas, which are oral and written comprehension and linguistic content.

Once the results of the oral area are incorporated, in A2 72% of the candidates have passed them, in B1 66%, in B2 61%, in C1 59% and in C2 57%.

The “referent” tests in this call are those of levels C1 and C2, which remain above 17,000 and 10,000, which represent 51% and 21% of the participants, respectively. The majority of registered people are women, more than 65%, at some levels 70%. The average is 32.05% men and 67.95% women. This year there has been a single registration period, therefore, these data refer “univocally” to it.

Regarding the age groups, at level A2 57% of people are between 41 and 60 years old, while 28% are between 21 and 40. At C2, the proportion is inverse, 24% are between 41 and 60, while 66% are between 21 and 40.

Once the written areas have been corrected, the JQCV has made public the grades for C1 and around November 28 those for levels A2, B1, B2 and C2 will be published.
