On a day marked by the presence of haze in the environment, the views of Vallter offer the image of grazing chamois, a gathering of swallows, the trail of the ruins of the former mountain refuge that has disappeared and a landscape stained by dust in suspension, as can be seen in the Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia.

Calima is a meteorological phenomenon that occurs in the presence of Saharan octopus in the atmosphere, increasingly present on the Iberian peninsula.

The chamois is a bovid present in some mountain ranges in Europe, also in Catalonia. In this case, we see its presence in Vallter, located in the Morens-Ull de Ter cirque of glacial origin.

Vallter extends to the north of the Ripollès region, within the municipality of Setcases, in the easternmost area of ??the Girona Pyrenees.

The base of this mountain station is located at an altitude of 2,200 meters above the Ter river valley, with a minimum elevation of 1,959 meters and a maximum elevation of 2,535 meters. On hazy days, visibility decreases, but when it is clear, you can see as far as the Gulf of Roses.

The chamois is usually found in high mountain areas with altitudes above 2000 meters. The peaks that surround Vallter are, among others, that of Bastiments (2881 m), Gra de Fajol (2708 m) and that of Dona (2704 m).
