Itinerante’s three members are practicing a piece of classic Colombian Andean music, “Juguete,” on the thirteenth floor in a high-rise apartment block near BogotA!

Three types of stringed instruments are at the heart of this music and this band. Two of them are native to Colombia. The tiple is a twelve and steel-stringed guitar like instrument that Diego BahamA3n plays 33 years old. The bandola is a twelve string mandolin-like instrument that Mateo PatiA+o plays 24 years. 38-yearold SebastiA!n MartAnez plays the six-string Spanish guitarist.

The trio have swiftly moved to the center of the Colombian Andean music scene by elegantly incorporating influences such as Queen and Led Zeppelin. Paulo SA!nchez is the director of Teatro ColSubsidio in BogotA!, and says they are “bringing back the trio format at a superlative standard.”
