A man disappeared this Thursday around 7 a.m. while he was bathing accompanied by a friend on the beach in Roses (Girona), according to police sources explained to Europa Press.
A fisherman observed a man in the water asking for help, rescued him and took him to the port, according to ‘The Case’.
The man, of French nationality—like the missing man—has gone to the town’s Town Hall to explain that he was swimming with a friend and that he had disappeared in the area of ??the breakwater.
A device has been deployed near the sea, with crews from the Generalitat Bombers; of the Civil Guard; of Maritime Rescue and the Mossos d’Esquadra, and a helicopter has also been activated.
Knowledgeable sources have explained to Europa Press that the missing person’s belongings have been found on the beach, a fact that “gives rise to suspicion” that the victim has not left the sea, although they are searching for him by land, sea and air.
