“I don’t look in the mirror. It’s not me”. These heartbreaking words are with which Linda Evangelista confessed to People magazine the hell she had had to go through since she underwent cosmetic surgery. It has been five years since that intervention that, according to her, changed her image and would change her direction within the fashion industry.

Now, the iconic supermodel of the nineties poses without complexes on the four digital covers of V Magazine for the first issue of the year 2024. “For the love of Linda,” the title of the magazine pays homage to Evangelista. All four covers are shot by legendary fashion photographer Steven Klein, in what was his first shoot in more than a decade.

Klein is one of the most recognized and controversial professionals in the sector for his ‘irreverent’ images, ones where sexuality often comes to the fore. For this occasion, the snapshots show how the chameleonic model changes and transforms, wrapped in gold from head to toe and covered in a perfectly tight lace jumpsuit. “She is back,” writes the fashion headline.

Stylist Patti Wilson has been in charge of conveying Evangelista’s message in a bold way through clothing. With an imposing red cape and a long lace bodysuit customized by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, the supermodel’s return is evident until she reaches her new rebirth, transformed into a shiny figure of gold.
