The Spanish Álex Palou, double IndyCar champion, will race next June in the 24 Hours of Le Mans aboard one of the Cadillacs, along with Alex Lynn and Earl Bamber, his team, Chip Ganassi, reported this Monday.
“Cadillac number two will be driven by Alex Lynn, Earl Bamber and Álex Palou, and will be accompanied by number three, with Sebastian Bourdais, Renger van der Zande and Scott Dixon alternating at the helm,” reads Chip Ganassi’s note.
Palou, a Catalan driver who is a double IndyCar champion, in 2021 and 2023, will thus make his debut in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The test will be held on June 15 and 16.
The Catalan will start the new IndyCar season on March 10, in which he will compete wearing the colors of Spain after a sponsorship agreement with the DHL brand, which will dye his Chip Ganassi car yellow.
