This Tuesday, in Valladolid, the Queen presided over the central act of the second stage of the Tour of Talent, an itinerant initiative of the Princess of Girona Foundation that, with the assistance of the King, was launched last month in Zaragoza. The objective of the Talent Tour is to promote a movement of young people who connect, activate and enhance their talent, in addition to extending the activities of the FPdGi throughout Spain. During the event, the Company award was made public, which went to Rafael Jordà, creator of Open Cosmos.

In Valladolid, in sessions that began on Monday and lasted until Friday, the Queen presided over the central act that dealt with the challenges and opportunities for young talent. Letizia has also had the opportunity to learn about some of the most outstanding projects of the FPdGi, such as the presentation of four initiatives of the ‘Purpose Generation’ Program, with young people who, through different initiatives, are already having a positive impact on society (projects: Humanime , Cercle, Aces of the panorama and Live Okey IMPACT).

The event closed with the announcement of the 2023 Princess of Girona Business Award to the young businessman Rafael Jordá. Born in Barcelona and educated in Palma de Mallorca, the award-winner founded Open Cosmos at the age of 26, a company with 70 employees in Spain and the United Kingdom, dedicated to the design, manufacture and management of satellites that, due to their size and capacity, in addition if economically viable, they provide information about the Earth to those who have to make climate and economically sustainable decisions.

From last Monday to next Friday, more than a thousand young people participate in Valladolid in the Talent Forum, held together with the Association for Management Progress (APD), and the FiBest Employment Forum, as well as an entrepreneurial challenge carried out by young students from Valladolid. The Valladolid Fair, the Conde Ansúrez Conference Center, the Faculty of Economics and the Miguel Delibes Center host forums, discussion tables, practical workshops, conferences.

The Talent Tour is an itinerant project of the FPdGi, which started in Zaragoza last February in an act presided over by the King and attended by the mayors of the different cities in which the tour plans to complete new stages. The tour is committed to the professional and personal development of young people, the promotion of new skills, the improvement of employability, the projection of the jobs of the future, educational innovation and social impact. After the stops in Zaragoza and Valladolid, the tour will continue touring Córdoba (April 13 to 18), Lugo (May 2 to 7) and Girona (June 5 to 9). In each of the cities, in addition to the conferences with the participation of various speakers and activities in which young people participate, one of the FPdGI awards that will be awarded next summer at the main event that will take place in Barcelona is made public. . In Zaragoza, the 2023 Social Prize from the Princess of Girona Foundation was awarded to Silvia Fernández Cadevall, from the Palliative Art Foundation.
