In the heart of Olot and inside the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park, La Moixina is one of the most painted Olot spaces by artists of the late 19th century.

We find ourselves in front of a forest of ancient oaks between fountains and canals. La Moixina is a comprehensive reserve of geobotanical interest, where there is a variety of flora and fauna. Wetlands are formed by the continuous outcrop of groundwater throughout the year, mainly from the La Déu spring.

The place is pleasant for a relaxing walk. There is a 1.5 km itinerary that can be covered in less than 30 minutes. Several paths lead from the restaurants in this area to the wetlands.

Parc Nou is the Botanical Garden of Olot, where valuable remnants of oak forests are preserved. There is a great diversity of plant species that can be well preserved in this space and that stand out in the Moixina.

It is a place of great interest in terms of remarkable biological diversity and whose protagonist is water. The special charm of this landscape has inspired numerous painters.
