The actress María León has finally been prosecuted by the Investigating Court number 18 of Seville for two crimes in the case related to her arrest by the Seville Local Police for allegedly assaulting an agent, an extreme that she has been denying when assuring that he was “victim of police abuse”, according to the Diario de Sevilla.
Specifically, it has been decided to prosecute the interpreter “for a crime of attacking authority and another minor injury to a Police agent”, according to the order in question, dated June 14 and to which Europa Press has had access.
The investigating judge believes that there are indications of the commission of these crimes as a result of the account of the facts that corroborates the report made by the Local Police and the recent statement made by the agents involved in the case before the magistrate.
In their judicial report, the local agents assure that they stopped a cyclist circulating on the public highway with a crystal drink to perform a breathalyzer test on her that gave a positive result, as well as that ten or twelve people began to yell at the agents and rebuke them Among those people would be the Sevillian actress who recorded with her mobile phone, according to said document, “the moment of that test, for which the Police called her attention.”
At this moment, according to the police report, León began to rebuke the agents saying “stupid, what are you, the sheriff?” Given her lack of respect, “the agent asks for her DNI to identify her for a sanction for administrative infraction.” But the actress did not carry that document proving identity, so the agents urged her to go to the police station in a patrol car .
Several people from the group surrounded the police officer, one of them opening one of the doors of the officers’ car. The actress got ready to get out of the vehicle, but an agent tried to stop her, allegedly being beaten by María León, for which she was arrested.
This same Seville court dismissed in November the provisional dismissal and filing of the complaint filed by the actress against the Local Police officers who acted in her identification and arrest at dawn on October 1 of that same year.
