Josh Sills, Philadelphia Eagles player, accused of rape and kidnapping

Josh Sills, a player for the Philadelphia Eagles, was charged this Wednesday with rape and kidnapping by the Ohio Attorney General’s Office (USA). According to a statement from the prosecution, Sills allegedly committed these crimes in December 2019.

On the player’s side, defense attorney Michael Connick assured that the charges against his client are false.

The Eagles, who will play the Super Bowl on February 12 against the Kansas City Chiefs, said Wednesday that they are aware of the accusations against Sills. “We have been in communication with the league office and are in the process of gathering more information. We will not comment further at this time,” the Philadelphia franchise said.

For its part, the NFL has placed the player on the commissioner’s exception list, so he will not be able to participate in any team activity on or off the field, and will review the event in relation to the league’s rules of personal conduct. .

Sills, 25, has only played one game with the Eagles this season: the one they played on October 3 against the Arizona Cardinals.
